RAISING MONEY FOR THE CHRISTIE CHARITY

In Ocober 2011 ALTRINCHAM UNITED REFORMED CHURCH and the YERBA FLAMENCO DANCE GROUP
held a concert at Trinity Hale Church in Cecil Road, Hale.

The concert included demonstrations of Flamenco dancing, and a tutorial for anyone willing to have a go.

The Yerba Flamenco Dance Group is Altrincham based, and is led by Brenda Story. It has a high reputation throughout Greater Manchester.

During the refeshment interval we were entertained by our own Mike Maratos on the electric guitar.

Supporters were generous, not only did we have a raffle, with tickets sold as far afield as Stafford (!), but we had many donations.

In particular, the following Sunday, Jill Dobson donated all the income from the church's sandwich bar.

As a result, we raised the magificent sum of

£1225!

Our thanks to everybody, from Jim and Kate McKnight
